I can live with just short of 30fps for now, turning off frame skip really improved performance across the board even in different cores but I could only achieve the 29fps with core 1.4 or 720p (some areas of the game tanked the frames on 1.5/1.The GameCube and Wii emulator Dolphin will no longer come to Steam. If anyone has any advice on the correct settings/ emu to use I would appreciate it, I would love to get all my ps1 games on this Xbox.Īlso how much do you guys think this Xbox is worth?ĮDIT: I got Resident Evil survivor running at an average of 29fps using pcsxbox v23 with 1.4 core 1.18 GPU and 1.10 SPU by turning off frameskip, I was told on discord that turning off frame limiting would work and indeed it did but gameplay ran horribly fast after that.
I have tried pcsxbox v22b25, pcsxbox v23 and the new pcsx-reloadedx ( Which I understand would not be great performance wise ) That being said I get roughly the same frames on pcsx-reloadedx with a massive graphics upgrade. To be fair the only game I have tried so far is Resident Evil survivor but the frames just are awful, the second I get into the church (second door to open) the frames drop to about 15 no matter what settings I try and I have even tried using the psp psx bios just to see if I can get a few extra frames but even that makes no difference. So I got myself an OG Xbox with a TX faceplate in crystal green, I have been having a lot of fun modding the console and even did the 128mb Ram upgrade but I am struggling with PS1 emulation, no matter what I try the emulation just sucks.
